Confidentiality Policy

Siminca’s Confidentiality Policy

  1. We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of all the personal and professional information acquired during the course of our professional relationship with clients or persons who contact us for information.
  2. We will preserve indefinitely the confidentiality of this information.
  3. Any employee or agent of  Siminca is forbidden from:
    • divulging clients’ personal or professional information
    • disclosing the fact of having been consulted or retained by a person or
    • ever using such confidential information for his or her own benefit, for the benefit of a third party or to the disadvantage of the Client.
  4. Siminca is committed to taking all reasonable measures to preserve and ensure the safekeeping of the Client’s information even after termination of any signed retainer.
  5. Exceptions. Disclosure of a Client’s confidential information may be permitted in the following circumstances:
    1. where expressly or impliedly authorized by the Client
    2. where compelled by law or legal process or
    3. where differences have arised between and a Client and Siminca, and such disclosure is required for Siminca to defend itself against any allegations, before a court, tribunal or procedure mandated by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC).
  6. All Siminca employees and agents are bound by this Confidentiality Policy.
