Federal Skilled Workers: immigration program designed to choose professionals and skilled workers on the basis of their age, work experience, education level, language knowledge and other factors. Candidates who may not qualify to apply under one of the several programs for skilled workers or business programs, may still be able to reach their goal to Study in Canada to Immigrate and obtaining a degree that will enhance their profile for a permanent residence. Once an international student completes a program of studies at an eligible Canadian post-secondary learning institution they may apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit of a maximum length of three years allowing them to stay and work in Canada while their permanent residence application is being processed.
