Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) for skilled workers
Under the Canadian Constitution, immigration to Canada is a shared responsibility between the Canadian Federal Government and the governments of the provinces. Quebec has its own immigration selection system, but the other provinces and territories have signed agreements with the federal Government and designed programs to select their own candidates for immigration. These programs are called Provincial Nominee Programs or PNP and are designed to help select candidates best suited to their needs in terms of skilled workers or business persons.
